Hydraulic D/Acting Cylinder/Ram 40Bore 25Rod 100Stroke 270Closed 701/1

  • Bore Diameter: 40 mm
    • This is the internal diameter of the cylinder. The bore size determines the force output of the cylinder; a larger bore can produce more force.
  • Rod Diameter: 25 mm
    • This is the diameter of the piston rod. The rod size affects the cylinder’s strength and stability.
  • Stroke Length: 100 mm
    • The stroke length is the distance the piston travels within the cylinder. A 100 mm stroke means the piston can move 100 mm from its fully retracted to its fully extended position.
  • Closed Centre Length: 270 mm
    • This is the length of the cylinder when it is fully retracted. It is the distance from one end of the cylinder to the other when the rod is fully inside.
  • Port Size: 3/8″ BSP (British Standard Pipe)
    • The size of the hydraulic ports through which the fluid enters and exits the cylinder. BSP is a standard for screw threads adopted internationally.

Product Description

Characteristics:

  • Maximum Working Pressure: 200 bar
    • Ensures the cylinder can handle high-pressure applications reliably.
  • Maximum Testing Pressure: 300 bar
    • Indicates the pressure limit tested for safety and durability beyond the regular operating pressure.
  • Maximum Working Speed: 0.5 m/s
    • Defines the maximum speed at which the cylinder can operate efficiently.
  • Working Temperature: -30 ºC to +90 ºC
    • Allows the cylinder to function in extreme temperature conditions.
  • Oil: Mineral hydraulic
    • Specifies the type of hydraulic fluid to be used for optimal performance.

Recommendations for Use:

  1. Protect the Cylinder Circuit:
    • Use a relief valve set at 200 bar to prevent overpressure.
  2. Oil Cleanliness:
    • Ensure the hydraulic oil is free from contaminants by placing a filter in the cylinder circuit.
  3. Bleeding the Circuit:
    • Loosen the cylinder fittings slightly before start-up to bleed any trapped air.
  4. Avoid Welding on the Cylinder Tube:
    • Welding on the tube can damage the cylinder; dismount before welding on the rod or bottom.
  5. Storage Guidelines:
    • Store cylinders indoors. If outdoor storage is unavoidable, retract the rod completely or grease it to prevent corrosion.
  6. High-Pressure Cleaning:
    • Protect the rod and oil-ports during high-pressure cleaning or blasting.
  7. Double-Acting Cylinder Use:
    • When used as single-acting, connect the unused oil-port to the tank.
  8. Dismounting and Reassembly:
    • The piston is screwed onto the rod end and fixed with industrial glue. Use industrial glue again when reassembling after dismounting.

Applications:

This cylinder is suitable for:

  • Industrial Machinery: Heavy-duty lifting, pushing, and positioning tasks.
  • Automotive: Applications in hydraulic systems like jacks and presses.
  • Construction Equipment: Control mechanisms in excavators, loaders, and more.
  • Agricultural Machinery: Hydraulic systems in tractors, harvesters, etc.
