Hydraulic D/Acting Spherical End Cylinder 40Bore 20Rod 100Stroke 305Closed 1008/1

  • Bore Diameter: 40mm
    • Description: The bore diameter refers to the internal diameter of the cylinder where the piston moves. A 40mm bore indicates a moderate size, suitable for various industrial applications where medium force is required.
  • Rod Diameter: 20mm
    • Description: The rod diameter, or piston rod diameter, is 20mm. This dimension impacts the strength and stability of the cylinder, ensuring it can handle significant stress and load without bending or breaking.
  • Stroke Length: 100mm
    • Description: The stroke length is the distance the piston travels within the cylinder. A 100mm stroke indicates the maximum range of motion for the piston, defining the extent of work the cylinder can perform in one cycle.
  • Closed Centre Length: 305mm
    • Description: The closed center length is the total length of the cylinder when fully retracted. A 305mm closed center length suggests a compact design, making it suitable for applications with limited space.
  • Port Size: 3/8″ BSP
    • Description: The cylinder features 3/8″ BSP (British Standard Pipe) ports. This standardization ensures compatibility with various hydraulic systems and fittings, facilitating easy installation and maintenance.

Recommendations

  1. Protect the cylinder circuit with a relief valve set at 200 bar.
  2. Check the oil cleanliness and prevent it from contamination by using a filter in the cylinder circuit.
  3. Bleed the circuit by slightly loosening the cylinder fittings before starting.
  4. Avoid welding on the cylinder tube.
  5. If welding on the rod or the bottom is necessary, dismount the cylinder first.
  6. For long-term storage, avoid outdoor storage. If outdoor storage is unavoidable, fully retract the rod or grease it.
  7. Protect the rod and oil ports during high-pressure cleaning or blasting.
  8. For double-acting cylinders used as single-acting, connect the unused oil port to the tank.
  9. When dismounting the cylinder, note that the piston is screwed onto the rod end and fixed with industrial glue. Use industrial glue when reassembling.
